App: Spe v · Developer: Thoiba Trader · Effective / last updated: 30 September 2026
In short: Spe v works entirely on your device. The text you type or paste, the speech generated from it, and the MP3 files you create are never sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The voice (Piper TTS) is built into the app and runs offline.
This Privacy Policy describes the data practices of the app Spe v ("the App"), published by Thoiba Trader, a sole proprietorship run by Sanathoiba Singha, based in Lanka City, Hojai, Assam, India. The App is a text-to-speech reader and MP3 exporter for Amazon Fire tablets. This policy applies only to the App itself, and is separate from the general privacy policy for apps.thoibatrader.com.
We do not collect any personal information from users of the App. Specifically, the App:
Spe v uses Piper, an open-source neural text-to-speech engine, together with a voice model that is packaged inside the App itself. When you press play or create an MP3, your text is converted to speech by the App on your own tablet. No text is sent to a cloud speech service, and no internet connection is needed for reading or exporting. This is why the App download is fairly large — the voice is included.
On first launch the App prepares the voice by copying the bundled voice files into the App's own private storage on your device. This is a local operation; nothing is downloaded from the internet for it.
The App stores only a very small amount of technical data in its local storage on your device:
The text you type or paste is held only in memory while the App is open and is not saved to a file or sent anywhere by the App. None of the data above is transmitted to Thoiba Trader, to Amazon, or to any other party by the App. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its data in your device settings, removes this locally stored information.
The App has a "Paste" button. The clipboard is read only at the moment you tap that button, and only to place the text into the App's text box. Clipboard contents are never read in the background and are never transmitted anywhere.
When you create an MP3, the file is generated entirely on your device and placed in the App's temporary cache. The App then opens your device's standard Share sheet so that you can choose where to save or send it (for example Files, cloud storage, or email). That choice is yours: once you send the file to another app or service, that app or service's own privacy policy applies. Thoiba Trader never receives your MP3 files or the text they were made from.
Spe v is free to try, with limits on reading time and MP3 length. It offers one optional one-time purchase (currently priced at $3.99 in the Amazon Appstore) to remove those limits. This purchase is processed entirely through the Amazon Appstore's in-app purchasing system (Amazon IAP). Thoiba Trader never sees, receives, or stores your payment details, card number, or billing information — that is handled directly by Amazon under Amazon's own privacy policy.
To unlock Premium and to restore a previous purchase (for example after reinstalling), the App asks the Amazon Appstore whether your Amazon account owns the purchase. Amazon's software on your device handles this exchange. We receive only a simple yes-or-no confirmation inside the App, which is then saved locally on your device as described in Section 3.
The App contains no advertisements of any kind. Therefore, no advertising identifiers (such as the Amazon Advertising ID), ad SDKs, or ad-related data collection are used.
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, social, or data-processing service. The only external interaction is the Amazon IAP system for the optional purchase, described in Section 6. The App is built with open-source components (including Piper for speech, ONNX Runtime for running the voice, and Capacitor for packaging the App for Android); these run locally inside the App and do not send data to their authors or to us.
The App does not ask you to grant any runtime permissions such as storage, microphone, camera, contacts, or location. Saving MP3 files uses the system Share sheet, which does not require storage access. The App's Android package includes the standard network permission that many apps declare; the App does not use it to send your text, audio, or any personal information anywhere.
Spe v is a general-audience utility app. Because the App collects no personal information and includes no advertising, accounts, or social features, it does not collect personal information from any user — including children. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern about the App and your child's use of it, please contact us using the details below.
Because no personal information is collected, none is shared with or sold to third parties. There is nothing to share.
All processing happens on your own device inside the App's sandbox. Because your text, audio, and files are not transmitted over the internet by the App, there is no risk of them being intercepted in transit or stored on our servers. Device-level security — such as your screen lock and storage encryption provided by the operating system — applies to everything stored locally.
The small amount of local data described in Section 3 stays on your device for as long as the App is installed. You can remove it at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App. MP3 files you have already shared or saved elsewhere are outside the App and can be deleted from wherever you saved them. Because no data is held on our servers, there is no data to request deletion of from Thoiba Trader. Your Premium purchase is linked to your Amazon account, so it can be restored after reinstalling.
If a future update to the App changes what data is collected or how it is used, this policy will be updated accordingly and the "last updated" date above will change. We recommend checking this page before updating the App if you have data-privacy concerns.
